Recess


Weather permitting, recess will be held outside. Recess is an opportunity for students to engage in safe, active play together. On occasion teachers may request students to complete assignments during recess time under supervision.

Due to safety liability and supervision concerns we can only allow Fawn Hollow staff to accompany and supervise students at recess or on the playground. We can not allow parents to accompany children to recess.


Safety for a Safe Playground
NO Violence, Pushing, Problems!


1) No running or “tag” games around the playground equipment, especially the slide.

2) Tire: Only 2 people at any time. No pushing by others.

3) Slide: Use ladder only to get to the top. Come down sitting and leave the bottom area immediately. Never begin sliding until the bottom is vacant. No hanging on the sides of the slide.

4) Swing: Keep it low and hold on with both hands. Stop swing before walking away. Honor the count to 100, be fair. Everyone face the same direction to swing.

5) Football/Soccer: Tag only, no tackling. Obey rules.


Remember…
Do not play near classroom windows
Contact the teacher about problems or injuries
Use only appropriate language
Avoid screaming
Watch out for the other person
