How to Make an Appointment with a Counselor

Mrs. Esposito, the secretary at the main entrance to the Pupil Services area, has a large black binder on the filing cabinet next to her desk that is divided into 7 sections, one for each counselor. Students should turn to their counselor’s section of the book and write their name in the space for the period and day they want to see their counselor. Sign-ups can be done during passing time, at lunch time, or before and after school. Students should plan to see their counselor during their study periods or prior to their lunch.If it is absolutely necessary for students to see their counselor during a regularly scheduled class, they must obtain a pass to Pupil Services from the teacher whose class they will miss.Students in crisis should see their counselor immediately, and the counselor will take care of excusing them from class. In a crisis, if the student’s counselor is not available, the student should speak to any available counselor.
