College Application Procedure - Masuk High School

Students are responsible for completing applications online or for obtaining applications. The College/Career Center has applications for our state universities and some others.

Complete your applications at home. Be sure they are signed (some require a parent signature) and pay close attention to application deadlines. Colleges take them seriously. Students should complete and submit applications from home either on line or by mail.

Make an appointment with your counselor and bring a completed and signed Blue High School Information Request Form for each college. DO NOT DROP THEM OFF.

Counselors will assemble your transcript packet which includes an official transcript, test record card, college credit descriptions, counselor recommendation (if requested), and a Masuk profile. Teacher letters of recommendation will be included only if they are in the student folder.

The Pupil Services Department will require ten school days to process the transcript packet. BE AWARE OF DEADLINES!

Update your resume. Talk to your teachers now about a letter of recommendation if you need one. Only letters on file with your counselor will be mailed from the counselor’s office.

If essays are a part of your application, please see your counselor and/or your English teacher for assistance. The humanities computer lab is also available.

Optional: Self-addressed Postcard to verify transcript packet has been received.
