Welcome parents, staff, and visitors to the official website of the Stepney Elementary PTO in Monroe, Connecticut! We hope the information provided here will be both a valuable reference to our members and parents and of interest to our non-Stepney visitors!
Our PTO is tasked to run activities that benefit or supplement the academic programs at Stepney. The funds raised by our activities go toward equipment and supplies for the benefit of all the children, things that so often get removed from the tight budgets as they go through the refinement of the administrators and the review of the townspeople. It is our pleasure to provide our beloved elementary school with funds to establish a teaching garden in an unused courtyard, special cultural arts guest speakers and performers, new carpets for the reading areas, books for the library, even an end-of-year party for the Stepney students and their families just to name a very few examples.
We encourage our parents to get involved and invite you to attend our meetings, a schedule of which is provided. If you would like to send an email to our executive board, click on our names.
