K-12 Social Studies Instructional Leader Jamie Sherry was recently the recipient of the Simon Konover Excellence in Holocaust Education Award, presented by the Voices of Hope Foundation. This award honors educators who go above and beyond to ensure the Holocaust is taught with depth, accuracy, and meaning—and Jamie has done exactly that in her capacity as an instructional leader serving both Masuk and Jockey Hollow. Through her dedicated curriculum work and her commitment to bringing Holocaust survivors and their families to speak directly with our students and staff each year, she ensures these lessons are not just learned, but truly felt. The powerful stories she helps share leave a lasting impact on our school community. We are incredibly proud of Jamie and grateful for the important work she continues to do. Jamie was recently honored at an annual Voices for Hope ceremony and at the February 17th Monroe Board of Education meeting.
